Fees, Medicare & Referrals

Understanding the practical side of accessing care.

Fees

Our current consultation fees are provided when making an appointment. Please contact the clinic for current fees and information about Medicare or private health insurance
rebates.

Medicare

Eligible psychological treatment services may attract a Medicare benefit through the Better Access initiative where the relevant eligibility and referral requirements are met.

Current arrangements provide eligible people with Medicare benefits for up to 10 individual and 10 group mental health treatment services per calendar year, subject to the applicable requirements.

Your GP or other eligible referring practitioner can discuss your circumstances and determine whether a Mental Health Treatment Plan or another referral pathway is appropriate.

Private Health Insurance

Psychology services may be claimable through private health insurance depending on your level of cover.

Please contact your insurer before your appointment to confirm your psychology benefits, waiting periods and eligibility.

HICAPS

Where available, eligible private health insurance claims can be processed through HICAPS at the time of your appointment.

Your health fund determines your eligibility and benefit.

Eating Disorder Treatment & Management Plans

Eligible psychological services may be provided under an Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan where the relevant Medicare requirements are met.

Where appropriate, treatment can involve collaboration with your GP, dietitian, psychiatrist and other treating professionals.

WorkCover

Eligible WorkCover clients may be seen where the relevant referral, approval and funding requirements are in place.

For Victorian WorkSafe claims, psychology services are subject to WorkSafe Victoria’s requirements regarding referrals, treatment and funding.

Please provide your claim and referral details before your first appointment so that the relevant arrangements can be confirmed.
